Looks like "rumors of payroll padding, ghost employees and the misuse of state grants" has prompted District Attorney Nancy Vernon to ask a Pennsylvania State Auditor for an audit, apparently because Uniontown can't afford it since Uniontown's bankrupt. URLs rewritten, remove parenthesis (http:)//www.fortmilltimes.com/124/story/409805.html This would lay to rest any rumors of misappropriation of money/resources. The city isn't officially bankrupt on paper yet, but there's no money. I will be curious to see where this leads. |
